CleanQuote Is Now Available in Sedna

A lot of cleaning decisions happen in the middle of something else.

An operator is working through a voyage instruction in Sedna. A message comes in asking whether the vessel is ready for the next cargo. They need to know what’s in the holds, when the hull was last cleaned, whether there’s an active cleaning request already in progress. The information exists — it’s in CleanQuote — but getting to it means opening another tab, logging in, finding the vessel, navigating to the right screen.

Most of the time, that happens. Sometimes it doesn’t. And when it doesn’t, decisions get made on incomplete information, or they get delayed, or someone sends another follow-up asking the same question.

Today, CleanQuote is launching a Certified Partner App in Sedna to close that gap.

What It Does

The CleanQuote app runs natively inside Sedna. Open it on a job or message and it loads the relevant vessel data from CleanQuote in a panel alongside your workflow: hold photos, onboard inventory status, hull condition, active cleaning requests.

No separate login. No switching tabs. The data is collected regularly from masters, so what you see is current.

From the same panel, you can initiate a cleaning request directly through CleanQuote. Chemicals, shore gangs, underwater services – just one click away.

Why This Matters for Dry Bulk Operators

Hold cleaning is not a glamorous task, but it can make or break a voyage. Before fixing clean cargoes, chartering teams need to know whether the holds will pass inspection. For operators, that question usually triggers a chain of emails, a dig through old spreadsheets, and a call or two to the master.

Sedna is where most of that coordination already happens. It’s where voyage instructions come in, where cleaning requests get discussed, where the back-and-forth between operator and masterplays out. CleanQuote is where the cleaning data lives: inventory levels, hold photos, condition history, supplier options.

Connecting the two takes away friction and clicks from the operator. The information should be there when it’s needed, not three tabs away.

What Operators Get

  • See up-to-date hold photos and inventory status directly in the side panel
  • Check time since last hull inspection, and access the report in one click in the app
  • Access vessel cleaning data in context, alongside the email that prompted the question
  • Initiate cleaning requests through CleanQuote’s global supplier network with just one click

“Operators don’t need another system to log into, they need their existing day to work better. Vessel cleaning is one task in a long day of tasks, and it usually gets squeezed. Putting live inventory and hold photos right in the Sedna side panel means the context is there when the decisions are being made, not buried in your inbox. That’s how new tools actually earn a place in operations: by removing steps, not adding them.”
